A Bible Study / Sunday School Class serves as the main "hub" of involvement at Carlisle Avenue. To be involved with a church is to live life closely with her people. We are called in scripture to make disciples and stir up one another toward love and good deeds. The best way to be plugged into this type of community at Carlisle is to get involved in one of these classes.

Each class is age-appropriate, serious about bible study, committed to prayer, pursuing biblical community, and open to new additions! We would love to have you join us. When you arrive at Carlisle one of our greeters would be happy to help you find the right class for you and your family!

Carlisle Kid’s ministry loves children and their families! It is our desire to provide a safe and engaging environment where children can come to clear understanding of the good news of Jesus Christ. Through simple, yet creative ways we seek to teach children the Bible in hopes that they will see their need for Jesus as Savior. We do this through our regular weekly events and through special events. Please check in from time to time and see what special events we are offering.

KIDS ON MISSION-WEDNESDAY @ 6:30PM (Summer months)

During the Summer months, our Wednesday night children's meeting is called Kids on Mission. Each week our children will learn about the importance of sharing Jesus all over the world!

This is our weekly children’s ministry event. Each week the Carlisle Kids will study the storyline of the bible, memorize scripture, play fun games, sing great songs, and have a tasty snack. It’s always a great time at Kid’s Avenue.

There are age-appropriate options for your children during our morning worship service. Children 0-2 years are welcome to stay in our nursery. For ages 3-4 years we have a service called "Wee Worship" where our little ones play, sing, and learn a bible lesson. School age children ages (K-2nd grade) will worship with the congregation, but head to "Children's Church" during the sermon for an age-appropriate bible lesson.

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:56-57 ESV)

Undefeated Youth Ministry is all about students finding victory in knowing Christ Jesus as Lord. In a world with so many challenges and distractions, we desire to be a group of young people standing firm in Jesus, and committed to sharing His love. We invite all students 6-12 grades to join us!

Living Free Support Groups

The mission of Living Free is to help individuals, families, and communities, dealing with life-challenging and life-controlling problems find freedom and wholeness in Christ.  John 8:31-32

What is Living Free?

Living Free is a small group strategy that has helped over 800,000 people to learn to face life struggles and move toward freedom and wholeness in Christ.

Day after day, people are smiling outside, yet, struggling and hurting inside.  Something has its hooks in them, which threatens to take them under. Depression, anxiety, anger, broken relationships, caregiving responsibilities, addictions, eating disorders, money problems, compulsive sex, or a loved-one's problems.

Keeping up appearances, some of us live life trapped, as a prisoner to these life-controlling problems.  These problems become the master of our lives.  The apostle Paul writes, “I will not be mastered by anything” (I Corinthians 6:12)

With Living Free we share how each of us can “walk in the way of understanding” (Proverbs 9:6), as it relates to those that are, or know someone that is, struggling and wants to learn how to find total recovery – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – from the problems and encourage them to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Living Free can benefit any person who is open to the Lord’s

working in their life.

Where and When?

We share every Wednesday - 6:00–7:30 pm.

The Living Free Room at:

Carlisle Ave. Baptist Church

3548 Taylor Blvd,

 Louisville, Kentucky, 40215

What will I need to bring?

The most important thing to bring is a desire to live free of the mastering struggles that most of us have fought, unsuccessfully for years.  Feel free to bring a Bible, a highlighter, and a pen.

Do I have to belong to the church?

No.  Since most people – if not all – are dealing with some area of struggle, Living Free groups can benefit any person who is open to the Lord working in their life.  Living Free can help group members discover how life-controlling problems develop and teach individuals how to identify the spiritual and emotional conditions that contribute to problems taking root and growing in one’s life or in the life of someone they know and care for.
